Thanks for all the hardwork you have put into your site. I can't tell you the agony I have gone through, trying to study from the pictures and instructions published in the official American Square Dance Society guidebooks. As the moves get more complicated, they become almost impossible to illustrate in pictures.

Your animated diagrams are great! Even complicated calls make sense after only a small amount of study. What a great tool!

Really enjoyed your web site. Have been square dancing for about 22 years and teaching classes the last 3 years along with some calling. Keep up the good work!

    Bonjour,

Yes, I am French Canadian from Quebec, folkdancing since I was 15 yers old. I fird dance International folkdances, now mostry Regional Quebec folkdances (since 20 years).
My English is not too good, but better then my Japanese :-)
Gilles Quesnel from Laval, Quebec, told about your Web page: very very interesting ... the animated figures...wish you good luck.
If you have the time, maybe you can take a look to "http://www.rocler.qc.ca/morazain/callnet.htm": those dances being written from the experience of "calling" them. Most has been noted in different regions of Quebec.
Gilles Quesnel is looking for English-French translation of figures: I will let him know if I have some.

Again, continue your work, you are rite to say that folkdancers are getting older and older, but they have young hearth :-). Many of us, in Quebec, go in schools, create young Troup of dances like Les Pieds L馮ers from Laval, Les Eclusiers de Lachine, Les Petits Pas Jacadiens from Joliette, and many others...hope that those young kids qill keep the interest.
    Good luck again,

    Guy Leroux.

Hello Norico, it has been a plesure watching your home page, i don't have too mutch time right now but i sure will return later. I guess you have spend a lot of time making the moving square-dance ilustration, execelent job! Ilustrating this way can be a big help to dancers who are training to learn new calls.

Like you I'm "divorsed" (newer merried but lived together for 7 years), I have worked with computers, making programs for financial/production planning / inventory / skock-keping / payroll etc. since 1989, and have joined squardance since 1992,have finished C1 level at cristmas time 1997 and if i feel good enugh i have planned to start traning C2 at the end of 1999.

I live in Denmark, a small country with only 5 millions people, 52 squaredance clubs with a total of 3000 members. The squaredance history in Denmark is only about 10 years old, because of that the higest level at a normal dance in 1998 was A2 but in 1999 C1 is introduced at some festivals. As far as i know there is only one group dancing dancing C2.

Finaly if you have any questions about square dance in Danmark, Sveden, Germany you just send me an e-mail, then i vill try to find the answer.

NB You can ask any questions you want to, i vill try to find the answer.

    Yellow rock from Denmark.

We live in Fort Morgan Colorado. Last night we went square dancing and met a lady from Australia. She said there is a lot of information on Sq. dancing on the Internet. I am impressed with your home page!
We have danced for about 18 years, minus about 7 years in between.
    Thanks!

Hi, I am looking in on your pages and think you make a good job with them.

Living also together with a cat.

I am teaching square dance by calling for my club Blue Blossom Dancers here in Mjby, Sweden.

Started to dance in 1986 and went to caller training in 1987 and been calling since then.
I have been dancing up to C1 but I have not danced more then A2 these last year.

Its fun to have a hobby that is so global

    Best regards

Hi Square Dancer! My husband and I are avid square dancers in Texas and applaud the fact that square dancing is a world-wide activity. We've been dancing for about 3 yrs. and would like to know how to get more people involved in this wonderful hobby. Any suggestions?

Continue in our favorite hobby as long as you live. There is something for every age here.

This is great! Now if you would just do one for C2, I might get through lessons even faster.
