My wife and I have been squaredancing for about 6 years now, (after a 20 year absence to raise 2 children.) We live in San Jose California Squaredance & round dance with 4 different clubs.
Unfortunately, squaredancing is very much on the decline here, & in spite of all of our efforts, doesn't seem to be getting any healthier. We just can't seem to get any response from anybody in the association when we bring up the subject of demo dances etc. So we travel to other various parts of the state where dancing seems to still be holding it's own.
Whenever we hold a class, most of the people don't finish, or if they do, never come back.
A few of the troublemakers in the association have, or are going to move, so maybe squaredancing will make a comeback in this valley. I for one sure hope so.
Your web page is teriffic.
Thanks for listening to me ramble
